Making a Park Entrance I have just upload a texture that is used to UV map billboards, scrolling signs and park entrances. Alignment Picture. First off open SketchUp, now go to "Plugins>RCT3>Placement>Full Tile". The dotted RCT3 tile will now appear. Simply copy this RCT3 tile and create a row of three (or if you want you can create extra long entrances) along the green axis (remember that the origin should be the centre of your Entrance). You can now apply normal textures like I showed you in m other tutorials, leaving the face of the sign blank. Now to UV map the face of the sign I created a small texture with my name on it, this is because you need to map the sign upside down and having writing is the easiest way to make sure it is flipped. So to do this, create a square texture (remember it must be to the power of 2) add your name so it is easier to understand. Import this and size to fit (see below). This texture should be tiled across the face. Now right click this face and select "texture>position". It will now look similar too below.
You will need to right click the face again and go to "flip>Up/Down". You texture will now be upside down, when you import this into RCT3 the name of the park will be the correct way and will scroll across it. Note: DO NOT rotate the texture in SketchUp or instead if the sign scrolling from right to left it will scroll left to right, it will now look like this,
Now you can just finish importing as usually and you have created a park entrance. Simple isn't it. I hope this Tutorial has helped you. Surfingoz |
