Making a Billboard
I have just upload a texture that is used to UV map billboards, scrolling signs and park entrances. Alignment Picture.
First just create a model/billboard to how you want it too appear in the game. Now if you have made this 3D then you can texture all the sides except the face where you want the picture to be visible. Now to set up the texture for the picture to appear on the billboard, I simple created a texture with my name(I would suggest creating a texture with writing and a horizontal half way point, you will need it). I then import this onto the face. See Below.

Now that you have added the billboard face you will need to flip the texture, to do this right click the face and go to "texture>position". Now right click the face again and select "Flip>Up/Down". Your billboard should now appear like this.

The reason why you flip the texture upside down is because when you import it for some reason you picture appears upside down, this solves tat problem. Now you have not finished texturing the face, for some reason with billboards you only include the bottom half of the texture that way when you import a picture it fits the board properly (if you do not use only the bottom of the texture you billboard will have your picture squashed into half of the board and the rest will appear texture less. To fix this right click the face and select "texture>position" from here you can use the pins to adjust the texture, just stretch the texture until only the bottom half is remaining on the face. See below.
Now you can group it all as usual, just remember to group the billboard face by itself. Remember to set a layer to each group (billboards may only require one group, it depends if you make it 3D or 2D). Now when you import it be sure to adjust your sid setting the same as below.

I hope this tutorial has helped you.
