Making Custom Benches

Making custom benches is a lot simpler than you think, first go "Plugins>RCT3>Placement>Path Edge (inner)"

You will notice that the placement boundaries are different to normal, this is because we are aligning to sit on the edge of a path.

We will wont to start by drawing a rectangle from the red line to the boundary edges, this is so that the bench sits on the edge of the path and will not collide with people.

The height to set so that people sit down and look good on the seat is 0.5 meters.

Now place two effect points using the 'text tool', space them easily and since your bench height is set to 0.5m then you need to set the effect point at ground level, this is because the effect point is for the back of the peoples feet.

Now finish texturing and grouping your object as usual, you do not need to group effect points.
Now go "Plugins>ASE Exporter>Export" choose your save locatiion than press save, a new window should appear and look like the one below, it should have 2 effect points and what ever other groups are required.

Seat up your icons and text strings as usual. Set the texture for the model in the 'Edit Model Settings' window, press "Edit>fix orientation"now press ok.

Then in the effect points frame press 'A'(auto), your 2 effect points will now appear.

Select each one individually end press 'Edit' then press the yellow star and go "Peep>Peep", this turns the effect point into an effect point for a person, remember to do this for both. You can now click Ok.

Now for each effect point press 'edit' a new window will appear the same as you were in above, press 'edit' a new window will appear, set the rotation to 2700 and press 'RotZ' a new setting will appear in the Transformation List. Now click ok.
